Femoral Osteotomy

Femoral Osteotomy is a surgical procedure used is a variety of conditions to realign the femur or thigh bone. It is most commonly used in DDH, Neuromuscular disease such as Cerebral Palsy, and Perthes disease but is increasingly being used to realign the femur rotationally.

Osteotomy means cutting the bone, and after correction the femur is held in position with a plate and screws or a femoral nail.
